whole lotta love

We've been eating and drinking our way through the country as a couple since May 2017. We work so well together because of many shared passions, like working in advertising, rocking out to the same music, our love for our families, our obsession with dogs, and the joy that a margherita pizza brings (ask us about the photoshoot we did with a box of Grimaldi's...). We recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming pawrents. Leo, our Sheepadoodle, is now Shelby’s entire personality and Marty’s excuse to never leave the house again. We fell in love with Colorado together during a month-long stay in 2020; We can't wait to share our favorite places with you.

May 2017

Friends accidentally brought us together on May 6th for a night out in Manhattan. Throughout that night, we formed an instant connection - we both worked in advertising, had the same taste in music, and Marty grew up in one of Shelby's favorite Northeast towns - Lake George. We exchanged phone numbers, and Marty quickly asked Shelby out on their first date. She said yes, despite having plans to move to Florida just one month later. One date quickly lead to spending much of that next month together. We each fell hard and goodbyes were difficult as Shelby left her life in NYC.

October 2017

We only grew closer as we spent time apart. Six months later, Shelby moved back to New York because she missed the bagels so much. Oh, and for a new job… okay, fine, and for Marty.

September 2019

Marty and Shelby discovered the greatest treasures NYC had to offer: Juliana's pizza and Ample Hills ice cream (RIP) in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn. They decided they simply had to be within a 10 minute proximity to both establishments at all times and moved in together in Brooklyn Heights.

September 2023

A million "I love you's" and dollars in Brooklyn rent later, we left the city when COVID struck. We spent the next two years safely traveling the country with Lake George as our home base (thank you again Michael and Gail!). Today, we love our life in Saratoga Springs, NY and would love to have you visit! Shelby guarantees a packed itinerary and great time.
